Element
Series Cordura and GORE-TEX® Outerwear
The
Element jacket and pants are manufactured from three layer Gore-Tex® fabrics.
These garments are easy to clean and care for due to the unique durability of
Gore-Tex® laminated fabrics. Unlike conventional coated "waterproof" fabrics,
your Element garments will NOT deteriorate with machine washing, as long as
you follow these simple instructions.
|
Cleaning: Machine-wash
in warm water. If planning to use Revivex® restorative; Run the garment through another cycle WITHOUT detergent.

Revivex treatment: The
three layer GORE-TEX® fabric has an 'active' DWR fluoropolymer coating
on its surface to provide improved comfort and shorter drying time. Without
the DWR, the outer fabric would become surface saturated by rain, water
would no longer bead and the condition known as 'wet out' occurs. The
wearer may feel damp and clammy due to the conductive and evaporative
heat loss from the body to the garment. After
washing as above, hang the garment on a hanger and close all zips and
studs.
|
|
Tumble drying: The
Element series garments can be safely tumble-dried.
|
|
|
Storing your Element garment: The
GORE-TEX® fabric is completely inert, however leaving the garments
mouldering in the back of the garage is not a particularly good idea. When storing for longer periods place jackets on a broad well shaped hanger and pants on a proper pants hanger, in a breathable Tiger Angel suit bag. Store in a well ventilated area away from high heat sources. |
